Topic: Highlighting the mundane moment in a fast-paced world
The core ideation of the project is to highlight the mundane moments in life using various weaving techniques in order to elevate the mundane by translating the ordinary moments of life into woven narratives.
In order to do so, I embarked on a self-imposed digital detox, severing. ties with social media and digital media entirely. This wasn't just a personal experiment; it was an immersive research project aimed at rediscovering the essence of the everyday, I observed nature, activities and people around me. A lot of it included seemingly ordinary moments which included conversations, interactions and observations and all this was noted down in a journal manually.
